Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. Avery Sunshine combines soul gospel jazz and R&B in a distinct mixture. From Broadway to European events and bars, Sunshine has performed anywhere. Sunshine was born Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta Her roots lie in Chester Pennsylvania. There she initially began her journey as a musician by playing and singing in church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan and has since been remixed by numerous producers, and has become a part of her live sets. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack to The Fighting Temptations. She was then hired as the keyboardist principal for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was at the center of attention for America during four performances per day at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later selected to perform for the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
